Concludes Successfully

From May 15 to 17, 2026, the 5th International Conference on Robotics, Artificial Intelligence and Information Engineering (RAIIE 2026) was successfully held in Wuhu, Anhui Province. The conference was hosted by Anhui Polytechnic University and organized by its School of Artificial Intelligence, with technical support provided by AEIC. It brought together renowned scholars from home and abroad, industry experts, and young researchers for in-depth academic exchanges and discussions on research achievements in cutting-edge fields such as intelligent robotics, deep learning, and big data processing, promoting the deep integration of scientific innovation and industrialization in related fields.

The opening ceremony was presided over by Ren Jiaqian, Party Committee Secretary of the School of Artificial Intelligence at Anhui Polytechnic University. Professor Feng Quan, Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and Vice President of Anhui Polytechnic University, delivered a welcome address, extending a warm welcome to all attendees. He highlighted the conference's significant value in advancing academic innovation, facilitating industry-academia-research collaboration, and fostering international cooperation in the fields of robotics and artificial intelligence, and expressed his wishes for a fruitful and productive conference.

The keynote speech session featured a distinguished lineup of experts sharing the latest research progress and breakthrough achievements in the field. Professor Sun Shuaishuai from the University of Science and Technology of China presented his work on magnetorheological exoskeletons and their applications in teleoperation, offering a new approach to building high-performance force feedback systems. Professor Wang Xingjian from Beihang University focused on advanced robotic systems for complex environments, showcasing the core breakthroughs of several self-developed systems, including electro-hydraulically driven prosthetics and exoskeleton robots. Professor Wang Yanjie from Hohai University proposed a multi-robot collaborative system for underwater dam inspection in hydropower stations, providing a new solution for safety inspection of water conservancy projects. Professor Shuang Feng from Guangxi University elaborated on multimodal fusion methods and research progress in power robotics, pointing the way forward for the development of intelligent equipment in the power sector. The presentations combined theoretical depth with practical engineering value, generating lively discussions and frequent exchanges of academic ideas on site.

The conference also featured two parallel exchange sessions—oral presentations and poster exhibitions—covering a wide range of trending research directions, including intelligent spray-painting robots, underwater robot localization, ship hull corrosion detection, and causal analysis with large language models. Ten young scholars from domestic universities delivered oral presentations in turn, sharing their latest research findings across various application scenarios such as aerospace manufacturing quality analysis, traditional Chinese medicine syndrome diagnosis, pipeline vibration measurement, and adaptive indoor space design. Six poster presentations showcased innovative explorations in areas including motor-imagery EEG decoding, UAV trajectory control, and mobile robot path tracking, providing an excellent platform for young researchers to present and exchange their work.

With this, the 5th International Conference on Robotics, Artificial Intelligence and Information Engineering (RAIIE 2026) came to a successful close. Looking ahead, the conference will continue to uphold the principles of openness, innovation, integration, and sharing, gathering global wisdom and consolidating academic strength. It will remain committed to frontier research in robotics and artificial intelligence, promoting the translation of research achievements into practice and collaborative industry-academia-research innovation, and contributing to the high-quality development of related disciplines and the advancement of international academic exchange and cooperation.
